Ski Vail Mountain
Vail Mountain truly embodies their slogan "Like Nothing On Earth." With over 5,300 skiable acres, The Legendary Back Bowls, two gondolas, and 31 chairlifts, you can spend all day on the hill and never ski the same run twice. Come explore one of the top ski resorts in the world.
Cross Country Skiing, Snowshoeing and Winter Biking
The Vail Nordic Center offers 17 km of daily groomed skate and classic track as well as 10 km of scenic snowshoeing trails. The center also offers 13 km of "fat biking" trails and rents these bikes. Visitors can rent nordic skis and snowshoes and daily lessons are offered.
Snowmobiling
Nova Guides is Montaneros in Vail's preferred partner for snowmobiling adventures.
They are nestled in the Pando Valley, surrounded by majestic mountain peaks and a rich cultural history. Ice Skating
Bring your skates or rent a pair on site. Skating is open from Thanksgiving to closing day with hours of operation 1:00pm-9:00pm. The rink is conveniently located in Vail Square, a two minute walk from Montaneros.
Dog Sledding
Head up to Leadville, America's highest city, sitting at an elevation of 10,361 ft. Hands-on and thrilling dog sledding tours are offered by experienced guides, and you get to drive the sled!
Sleigh Rides
Two companies in the valley offer sleigh rides: 4 Eagle Ranch in Wolcott and Beano's Cabin in Beaver Creek. 4 Eagle Ranch offers a more family friendly, western experience complemented with a buffet, smores, and campfire music. The Beano's Cabin excursion entails a horseback ride or 20 minute wagon pulled sleigh ride to enjoy a 5 star dinner, perfect for a romantic evening with your sweetie.
Scenic Gondola Rides
Enjoy a relaxing and scenic ride up Gondola 19 (Eagle Bahn Gondola) with amazing views of the Gore Range and Mt. Holy Cross.
