Mountain Biking in Vail
Whether you're looking for a downhill thrill ride or a leisurely and scenic traverse, Vail has it all. Miles of trails are accessible via both Gondolas, or riders wanting to earn their turns can bike up Vail Mountain via the bases at Vail Village and Lionshead. Vail's bike park has 16 multi-use and 6 free-ride, downhill access only trails. Whatever your speed and ability, there is a trail for everyone at Vail.
Mountain biking is one of the best ways to enjoy some exercise and take in the amazing views of aspen groves and wildflower meadows from the top of Vail Mountain.
The bike park is open every day during the summer and on weekends in the fall. If you have purchased your 22-23 Epic Pass you can access unlimited Gondola bike hauls for an added fee. Otherwise, single day and week passes can be purchased at the ticket office in either village.
Don't have your bike? Not to worry, Vail has you covered. All the shops listed on our ski equipment rental page, offer bike rentals during the summer. Guests can choose between trail, downhill, free-ride and road bikes.
